In March, You May Feel Compelled to Chart a New Path
Your monthly metaphysical forecast by Andrew Kutchera
This month you will feel compelled to chart a new path, where you will need to balance mental focus with rest, allowing the universe to arrange new opportunities for you.
The big question – and challenge – is how you feel constricted. Are you in an unhealthy relationship? Perhaps you’re in a living situation that you’ve outgrown? Or maybe you’re in a job that no longer suits you? You’ve probably convinced yourself that you can maintain the status quo, but the time is up. You’ve twisted yourself into a pretzel, so you will need to detangle in order to move forward. You’ll either come to this conclusion yourself – or you will have news that gently slaps you in the face. Recognize that internal and external messages are support from the universe, even if you’re startled.
Your restrictions – although uncomfortable – are blessings since they will propel you to break from the past. The internal tension might be intense, so allow time to daydream – and then take small concrete steps toward your goals. If you’re feeling confined by your living situation, free up some space in a drawer or closet. Or go full-blown Marie Kondo. You’ll feel lighter and freer, regardless of the scope.
These cards offer another tip: to rethink your public presence, specifically your social media engagement. Even if you only use these platforms for fun, you may want to consider a more streamlined approach. Feel free to delete photo albums or whole accounts. If you use any of them for business, now is your time to sit down and map out a focused strategy. Think through a plan while also listening to your gut.
Although this pandemic has not been fun, it’s forced each of us to limit our social circles. And thus, we’ve needed to spend more time with ourselves. It’s probable that we have come face-to-face with indulgences – online shopping, eating, drinking, etc. – which we use to mask difficult emotions. Allow your feelings to surface. You might need to cry or feel angry, just for the time being. Realize how you may have been covering up your feelings by using other means, knowing that you can gently release the habit.
With our individual need to break free, many will not know how to work through their frustrations. Therefore, it’s possible that you may encounter people who spontaneously lash out at you. You may do that to others. Try to collect yourself before firing off that email, since you don’t want to add regret to general irritation. Know that we are each being squeezed in our own way, thrusting us into a new chapter. If you’re really overwhelmed, try spending extra time outside and look up at the sky. Liberate yourself from the walls within your mind.
Final tarot-specific note: you may have seen a movie where ‘The Devil’ makes an appearance, usually accompanied by screeching violins. Yes, this can be an intimidating card, but it’s actually a reminder that you can overcome any unhealthy mental construct, addiction, or limiting environment. The other cards, thankfully, lay the path for us to break free and flourish.
Here are some questions to ask yourself: where in my life am I constrained? Before acting rashly, can I dwell in my dreams? How do I want to feel in my next chapter? What small steps can I take to get there? What emotions do I need to process in order to align with this new future? What belongings in my living space no longer resonate? Can I let things go, trusting that more will arrive on time? Where have I compromised my goals for stability or security? Can I release these contracts and have faith in my ability to manifest? Can I be thankful for my restricted past, because I now have the mental clarity and physical energy to pursue new goals? Wishing you a wonderful month.
